Russ: 10 months

So...making his way past 9 months was a bit rocky for the Russ man.

First of all, he had a serious crawling slip on the tile, and his head broke the fall right into the corner of our island.  Oh man.  It was sooo bad.

10 seconds after it looked like this.
Luckily, Russ was done crying in that amount of time, too.

We consulted all doctor contacts, and they assured me he was ok.

I, on the other hand, was not.

Good thing I had Annie and Grandma Jackie (although se was more concerned with her licorice, haha) there to calm me down.

Things luckily improved quickly, and he only appeared beaten for a day or two.

Still, the happiest sweetest little monkey- it wasn't all bad during this stage.

Kylo Ren and Russ have a special connection.

Then... all hell broke loose for the poor little dude.
He came down with a serious case of croup, and it kicked all of our butts.

We made our way to the doctor several times, he was put on numerous rounds of steroids, and I spent too many nights sleeping in his room. Boo!

We practically lived in a steamy bathroom to open up his windpipe, and my desperation for sleep was REAL...

as evidenced by my death stare to will Tucker into taking a nap.

Along with the croup, Russ developed a serious congestion (nose) issue, and our lives were filled with suctioning, saline dropping, misting, wiping, etc.

Because his wheezing was so severe, he even had to have a neck x-ray to make sure there wasn't a foreign object lodged in his throat.

Good thing our baron Grandma Jackie could come along to help with the xray! LOL.

He was a trooper through it all, and the best little patient in all the land.

It broke my heart to see him so sick.  I hate sick babies and have never had one so seriously ill.

Luckily, after 2+ solid rough weeks, things started to turn around- and "normal" life resumed.

Always smiling.
Always going with the flow.

Ooooh gosh I love him.
