Celebrating a Birthday Tuck

The morning of March 26th came...and we were geared up and ready to PARTY!

Celebrating Tucker's 1st year was on the menu. and we were amped up early before Brett even left for work.

Good morning, ONE YEAR OLD!

His face was priceless when we brought him in to see his presents.
He was in absolute awe of the balloons and his birthday banner.
It really was adorable.

His new ROBY horse was a hit from the start.
I couldn't believe how interactive he was opening his presents.
He really spent time looking at/playing with all of his new toys...and surprise surprise he was so happy all day long!

He got books, and clothes...shoes...oodles of tub toys and more.

Trying out the new gear with Jack.

Here's the birthday boy sporting some new duds.

Man...he's handsome.

...

We spent the early part of the day at home, and Grandma Jackie and the Griffins came over to play and have lunch.

It was a gay old time...
Until the new Roby horse resulted in Sam falling face (or should I say tooth) first on the tile.
2 chipped teeth later...
The birthday continued.
(poor poor Sammy)

After naps, and work...
It was birthday party time.

We met Grandma Jackie, Grandpa Curt, Grandpa Jones, Kate, Lucy, Isabel, Annie, Hank, Max, Sam, Grandma Yvonna, and Grandpa Sherm at Tucker's favorite resturaunt, Melty Way for some grilled cheese sandwiches.

Tucker's eyes were on the prize.... my plate!

After dinner, we headed home with the gang for presents and cake.

Tucker scored his darling chair from my parents...keeping with the Naughty-Chair-from-Grandma tradition.

Max was ever ready to help Tuck during the present opening process.
Tucker is so lucky to have such darling older cousins who love and play with him.

Tucker and his Mama

Keeping with his overall mood  for the day...
Tucker was super excited and fascinated by his birthday cake and candles.

He wasn't so fascinated by his cupcake.

Let it be known ... I hate this tradition.

Tucker usually eats EVERYTHING...so I thought he'd go to town on this chocolate cupcake when he had free reign with it.

Not the case.

I think one bite went in his mouth.

The rest...he threw...and smashed in every crevice of his highchair.

I developed a slight twitch during this process.

...

It was such a fun day with this little mug.

Just like all the other days with him have been!

Happy Birthday Tuck!!!

One, really? I can't bare it. Tucker has the most angelic little face but underneath it I can sense some spunk! It's so fun to see his personality coming out. Hopefully he will still be friends with his snaggle toothed cousin. He may not claim him when they go to Bear Hollow together.
